18th Annual Wacky Quacky Ducky Derby: Adopt rubber ducks for your opportunity to take home the $1,000 ALC GRAND PRIZE sponsored by the American Leakless Company, or one of many additional prizes. THE DERBY: Specially-designed rubber racing ducks will be raced in heats (number dependent upon number of ducks adopted). The first few ducks in each heat (number dependent on prizes at race time) will move on to the Championship Race. Prizes will be awarded based on the order in which ducks move through the duck trap. DUCK ADPTIONS: (must be adopted in advance of race) For a $5 donation to KALB, a racing duck will be placed in the derby in your name. For a $25 donation, you will receive a PAPA MURPHY'S QUACK PACK which includes 6 ducks (1 free) and a coupon for 25% off your entire order at any Papa Murphy's location. Add to the fun and name your ducks! It's fun to see the clever names ducks are given. Let's see what you can come up with! Ducks can be adopted for the race online (see website link) and at the KALB office at 125 East Street in Athens. Ducks will also be available for adoption at the Grease Festival on 9/29/18 and at the Fiddlers Convention on 10/5 and 10/6/18. Duck adoptions will close at 1:00 p.m. on October 6th.
