About Us

T.O. Owens is a former U.S. Air Force Academy Cadet and a passionate advocate for community development. After serving over a decade in public roles near Denver—including Chair of the Board of Adjustments, Planning Commission, and leadership on multiple Jefferson County advisory committees—he and his wife Patty moved to Athens, AL in 2024. Married for over 20 years, they have two daughters: one a Vanderbilt engineering graduate, the other a junior at Rollins College pursuing graduate study in Applied Behavioral Analysis. T.O. joined the Athens Chamber to support local businesses and invest in the community they call home.
